Pregnant mothers require a food that meets specific nutritional needs during pregnancy and nursing. In the final 3-4 weeks of pregnancy, the weight and size of the puppies will increase drastically and your dog will require an increased amount of food to support hits. After the birth, energy and minerals will be required of milk production during nursing, so your dog will need 2-3 times its usual requirements.
